For Google I/O 2022, I contributed to the design of a modular system that supported the website's evolution through all phases of the event: pre-event, live event, and post-event. The strategy was centered on engaging users at each stage.
To build anticipation pre-event, I designed a dynamic countdown on the homepage paired with teaser content to excite attendees. During the event, the focus shifted to highlighting live streams, interactive challenges, and featured sessions, ensuring attendees could easily access and navigate the event's wealth of content. For the post-event phase, I designed a playful and heartfelt farewell illustration, coupled with a summary of key moments, to leave users with a sense of closure and celebration.
In addition to website structure and component design, I also illustrated custom banners and collectible attendee badges, enhancing the site's unique, playful aesthetic. The combination of strategic content evolution and cohesive design made the website an essential companion to the event experience.
